High-Protein Frozen Custard (Healthy ‘Ice Cream’)

June 04, 2026

A dessert you're meant to eat a lot of. It's basically eggs, protein powder, banana, and milk — blended and frozen. High protein, no added sugar, real ingredients. Not a treat to ration: a high-protein food that happens to taste like ice cream.

  • Prep: 5 min
  • Cook: None
  • Servings: 2–3

Ingredients

  • 4 eggs (or just the yolks)
  • 1 scoop vanilla whey protein (~30 g)
  • 2 frozen bananas
  • 1 cup milk
  • Optional: a little stevia; pinch of salt

Make it

  1. Blend everything until smooth.
  2. Pour into a tub or loaf pan; freeze 3–4 hours.
  3. Rest 5–10 minutes, then re-blend or scoop.

Per serving (makes ~2–3): ~300 kcal, ~20 g protein, no added sugar. Eat freely.

Raw eggs: use the freshest/cleanest (or pasteurized) eggs. To skip raw entirely, warm the egg-and-milk base to 160°F, then chill and freeze — same custard, fully cooked.
